New to Japan? Don’t worry.
What catches people out after dark is rarely the food. It is a charge nobody ordered, a sauce that must not be dipped twice, a door that will not open for anyone aged 20 or under, and a train that leaves earlier than expected.
What’s open late in Tokyo
One question, answered with published hours: how late can you still be served? Venues are grouped by how far into the night they run, from last orders at ten to the places still going at dawn.
Safe Areas for Night Walks
There is a short, checkable answer to where you can walk at night — park hours, posted rules, what the police say about touts — and a longer list of things nobody publishes. This page keeps the two apart.
Opening hours, cover charges and payment methods on this site are copied from each venue's own website — not from reviews — so you know what to expect before you walk in.
